Ex Pastificio Lemmi

 

Location: in the fortified village of Papiano, Perugia, nestled in the Umbrian hills

Type: Former pasta factory dating back to the end of the XVIII century with an adjoining building in masonry , blocks of sandstone and brick stone

Composition: the main building is on three floors (ground, first and second) and has a “loggia” on the top level that was used as a drying area for the pasta. The annex building is spread over 2 floors and was used as storage for barrels

Total area: 641 square meters (pasta + annex)

Conditions: currently not used, the main building is in good condition and lends itself to different kinds of customization.

Distance to points of interest: 21 km from Perugia, 40 km from Assisi

Interesting facts: the pasta factory belonged to the Lemmi family that became popular in the XIX century industry at national level with the Amaro Lemmi. The activity of this family included a distillery and a factory of cream of tartar and a pasta factory.
