Interesting facts The charming rural complex, surrounded by nature and in a panoramic position, is set near to an archaeological site of great historical interest, that of Mount Bibele. Numerous remains of an Etruscan settlement and necropolis and artifacts dating back to the Copper Age were found here. Not far away is also located the Sanctuary of “Monte delle Formiche” known for an unusual natural phenomenon that occurs once a year since time immemorial: the migration to the peak of a variety of winged ants coming in swarms in September from central Europe to do their nuptial flight. The combination of past and present makes of this village, in a wonderful secluded spot, a genuine jewel.
