Type: Large brick farmhouse dating back to the early ‘900 with a barn and orchard
Composition: originally farmhouse with an attached stable / barn, then divided into 4 apartments
Philosophy of renovation: The project was based on internal changes with a new redistribution of the spaces, creating a unique property in which there is a great space for cooking classes and a multipurpose room. Two main concepts are the basis of this project: the true recovery of the original materials and a new distribution of space with the creation of open spaces, designed to welcome friends and guests. The restoration and conservative renewal allowed to breathe life into this house preserving the traces of its past; the brick walls, beams and original wooden floors in fact witness the deep bond with its history. Great attention was given to the recovery of existing materials which, alongside new structural elements such as iron beams left exposed, create a perfect blend of past and present.
Conditions the complex had long been abandoned and was completely renovated in 2016

Curiosity: I Luoghi are now ready to start a new life, to become a welcoming place and home to a very interesting project aimed at pooling of skills and dreams. Next to the refurbished farmhouse “THE CO-HOUSING IN ORCHARDS” is about to arise. It intends to be a space designed to give residents a chance to have independent spaces, common areas and services, and most notably the ability to grow a garden, and to adopt and take care of a part of the orchard, and with a particular eye to the pooling of skills (coworking spaces) and the care and attention to children and teens.
